That's the question asked by this article from the Christian Science Monitor. Obviously the title is provocative by using the terms paved and logged. I mean it is a bit unfair to compare a temporary logging road to a stretch of interstate highway. I don't think that the logging companies get the benefit of a nicely paved asphalt road on their way to a logging site. Actually, the quote comes from the environmental group Environment America. TOf course these groups have to use this type of exaggerated rhetoric to get any attention from mainstream media.
