9th Circuit Upholds FS River Dredging for Gold

Oregon - To be more precise, the Court of Appeals upheld a Forest Service interpretation that allowed for suctioning of the river in conjunction with gold mining.  Environmental groups had challenged the agencies interpretation of the mining law and the Northwest Forest Plan.  You can read more about the decision at Courthouse News Service.
