Forest Service Announces New Planning Rule Under Way

After California district court judge Claudia Wilken struck down the Bush era Forest Planning Rules, the Forest Service announced it would fall back with the 2000 Rules.  However, today it was announced that the Forest Service will begin formulating a new set of planning rules for the National Forest System.  You can read about at the Seattle Post Intelligencer or with the official release from the Forest Service here or provide your input on its interactive page.
