Alaska - The Forest Service has rejected an appeal by Southeast Alaska Conservation Council over a proposed timber sale on Prince of Wales Island. The Tongass NF project will provide up to 73 million board feet of timber. The environmental groups involved said they would consider their options. Not sure if that means that they've got the complaint drafted yet or not. I'll continue to monitor. You can read more at the Juneau Empire.
