Forest Service Gouging of Cabin Owners Continues

Posted by nationalforestlawblog on December 8, 2010 at 8:30 PM

The Sandy Post reports on how the continued excalation of permit fees for Forest Service cabin owners is causing significant strain on the middle class owners.  *This whole fee issue seems to be a part of a much larger concerted effort by the Forest Service to remove private cabins from public lands.  Consider that in Michigan they are not simply jacking up the permit fees, but refusing to re-issue the permits and telling cabin owners to actually remove their cabins from the lands.
