Is The Huron-Manistee Forest Too Loud, asks Interlochen Public Radio. Remember to make your voice heard as the Huron-Manistee National Forest opens its comment period again about revisions to the Forest Plan. The question is whether to continue to allow gun hunting and snowmobiling across the forest or not. Local environmental nut Kurt Meister shockingly won his appeal when he argued that the the forest needs to ban gun hunting and snowmobiling so he and those like him can enjoy silence all of the time. Make sure to get your comments to the Forest Service to continue allowing gun hunting and snowmobiling across the forest based on Multiple Use principles - not No Use principles.
