The Forest Service has issued a press release about its so-called roadmap to address climate change. You can access the release here. The Forest Service will be making efforts to mitigate and adapt its lands to deal with climate change. In order to ensure accountability, the Forest Service, will be introducing a "scorecard" rating system for certain categories. I swear sometimes I think these governmental agencies are run by third grade teachers. A "scorecard" system. Really? Anyways, for what its worth the Forest Service is taking climate change seriously, I guess.
Update - Check out the Nicole Straub of the NY Times coverage of the Forest Service Climate Change Roadmap here.
